Very cool Shaun. We’ve visited the Ripley’s Aquarium in Gatlinburg, TN and it is incredible. I have to admit that with the name “Ripley’s” attached I would not have given it much chance, but we were very impressed. They have an acrylic tunnel over 300′ long which goes through a tank full of sharks, sea turtles, rays and much more which is just amazing. Incredible to see these animals all around and right above your head. Really cool. Great pic on their home page, http://gatlinburg.ripleyaquariums.com/.

This was very similar, with the tunnel under the large tank. It doesn’t look like this one (in Myrtle Beach) was as large at the one in Tennessee, but still amazing. The name did have me second guessing, but Amy (who’s been to this aquarium quite a few times) assured me it was worth the time. Plus we got free tickets from a friend who works there. All in all, a really great time was had by all!
